  • This inspection is a thorough evaluation of a property by a qualified and trained professional, aimed at informing a buyer about the current state of a home. The resulting inspection report stands as an industry standard for summing up the condition, potential problems, and working state of all the components of a home- allowing a complete picture to be seen of the property being considered.

The goal, of course, is to give confidence and assurance to the client. The inspection report is a valuable tool to have when deciding which home is right for them.

  • The 4-Point Inspection is often required to obtain (or maintain) insurance coverage. The scope and requirements of these inspections were designed by insurance companies themselves in an effort to gather information about the structures they are insuring.

Essentially, it’s a review by a qualified inspector of the 4 main components of a home, deemed by insurance companies to be the biggest liabilities to them as insurers.

    -Plumbing

    -Electrical

    -Roofing

    -Heating and Air Conditioning

The goal is to provide a complete picture to the insurance company and allow them to make an informed quote to the buyer/owner for coverage. This inspection is often performed alongside the wind mitigation and pre-purchase home inspections.

  • A Wind Mitigation Inspection is a focused evaluation of a home’s ability to withstand and divert hurricane winds and rainwater from entering the home through poorly sealed areas of the roof, walls, and siding.

When done properly, this Inspection can qualify a home for certain Insurance Premium discounts. At the very least it will inform the owner/buyer if the home’s construction is built to current code or outdated standards.

This inspection is often performed at the same time as the initial pre-purchase home inspection.
